This historical novel depicts the passions in the life of the Renaissance painter El Greco, the relationships he had with various women, his closest friends and some of the most important people of the era. With very strong female characters, the text tells the story of love and eroticism in the framework of the Inquisition, religious persecution and war. The historical recreation shows a moment in which pretense, identity shifting, and the tendency to hide and hide oneself became essential strategies for surviving and facing orphanhood, poverty, promiscuity and violence.
