A collection of narrative essays – a mix of personal accounts and critical reflection – in which the author explores the influence of literature (translating it, reading it and writing it) on individual destinies, as it shapes our personal lives in the most unexpected of ways.

Liquid cities are those where their outlines are reflected in the waters of a river or a sea. For the author, they are also a metaphor for the head space and in-between state where you go to when reading, translating or writing. But what is really in this book cannot be explained.
