 Before, when I was a boy, I couldn’t imagine the brilliant consequences that war would bring me. My country was submerged in shadow, my parents disappeared, and I had to get by on my own. Suddenly, things had a bitter taste to them. Until I met Acevedo, and his blindness helped me to see. This is the story of our friendship, and of how I became Lazarillo.
