In a land with deep scars after the War of the Triple Alliance, is love possible amid terror? This is the big question that all the protagonists of this story will have to answer for themselves, each in their own way, before the curtain falls behind the last battle. War ruthlessly churns the entrails of men and women, including Bautista and Muriel, who will be thrown around by intrigue, passion, betrayal, and heroism.
